Received my USATF Association Membership switch approval this morning! Back to my USA Track & Field roots as a bona fide member of the Nebraska Association.
I’ve got a long history in the Nebraska Association including founding the Long Distance Running program after arriving from Texas in 2001. Measured dozens of courses for USATF Certification- all now past the 10 year expiration date, but more coming in the future to be sure.
Hosted dozens more Association Championships-setting Association records from the mile to the marathon. Most of those from the incredibly talented athletes that represented Team Nebraska, another project near and dear to my heart.
Attended 10 USATF annual meetings. Received the Scott Hamilton Award there in 2004 for my work setting up our Association’s LDR efforts. That followed the Women’s LDR National Contributor of the Year award received in 2003.
If this sounds like a recap of my resume, well yes. I’m proud to bring my service to adult, back to The Good Life.
Not for the last time, Giddyup!
