Linda and I made a commitment to this community when we moved here. To the town. to our church, to our citizenry. Especially to the youth. Towards that we are offering the “We Are Indiahoma 5K & 1 Mile” set for Saturday April 22nd.
We Are Indiahoma will bring people to our small town. We plan on showcasing the best of what Indy has to offer.
In 2022 we witnessed the courage and dedication of our Indiahoma Volunteer Fire Department. Grass fires are an extreme weather condition every spring and the bravery demonstrated by our volunteers motivated us to try and give something back. The department’s pumper truck needs a new engine that will cost close to $40,000. Proceeds from this event will go towards that major purchase.
The Indiahoma Warrior Track & Field program will also benefit from the event. We are offering free entry to every youth 18 & under with t-shirt and participation medal. A portion of proceeds will also go directly to the Warriors.
