Vianey De la Rosa Rojas set a new Nebraska Marathon soil record for women running a scintillating 2:30:02 good enough for 3rd overall.  Vianey is hoping that punched her ticket for Tokyo for her native Morocco.  Adam Bohach took the win for the fellas in 2:27:52.  Jeremiah Estes 2nd in 2:29:28.

New Men and Women state soil records by Rory Linkletter and Stephanie Bruce.  With our World Athletics Federation Certification state soil records set at 5K (14:18, 16:13), 10K (29:00, 32:34), 15K (44:27, 49:23), 20K (1:00:29, 1:06:19) and Half Marathon (1:03:57, 1:09:55).

8 women under the previous state half record.  Top 6 men under 1:06, top 10 men under 1:07.

By the numbers:  Total of 11 State Soil Records.  Half Marathon:  94 male finishers, 93 female finishers.  Average time of 1:54:57.  Full Marathon:  78 male finishers, 34 females.  Average finish time of 3:37:35.  All finishers in the marathon under the 5 hour time limit!!  Both the ratios and average finish times unheard of since the 1980s!  Real Racing!!

Nebraska USATF LDR Champions, Tim Langdon 12th in 2:51:32, his better half Emily taking the Women’s crown (65th, 3:43:41).  They snagged the $600 each in dedicated prize money.
