Good runs that have the potential to be great. USATF Certified, pancake flat, lightning fast, 1.5 mile loop at Two Rivers State Recreation Area. It started in 2012 as the Valley Forge Fitness Series at the YMCA, moved to Two Rivers the following year.
We’ve variously contested the Rust Buster 5K, Halley’s Comet 8K/10K, Dalton Gang 5K, Full Wolf Moon 5K, and Valentine’s Day 5K/10K.
Free entries always offered to the kids at Millard West and PLVS and DC West and Fremont and Club 402.

Two Rivers Valentine’s Day 5K – Waterloo, NE 2022 | ACTIVE
The Valentine’s Day 5K is the finale each year. Year one was originally dubbed “The Two Rivers Twosome” that provided for tethered couples to compete, there was also a centipede option. The first two years the race was sponsored by Victoria’s Secret with (in)appropriate costuming. In the third year the run shifted to a more family friendly uniform of the day. Wine, chocolates, and roses to all finishers remain a hallmark of the event.

We really enjoy hosting the runners. Sometimes 5 or 10, sometimes over 100. Always fun. Thanks to everyone for joining us again this year, not for the last time, GIDDYUP!
