A few more notes from Lincoln: Roxi Erickson-Olsen completed her 96th marathon, simply amazing. Husband Ron Olsen completed his 34th Lincoln Marathon and is the only remaining person to have run every one. Kathy Palmer successfully completed her first marathon attempt, Giddyup girl! I mentioned to John Seiler how I dug his ball cap that reads “Running Guru”, he was kind enough to give it to me, thanks John! My right foot (the one I broke last year) didn’t present a single problem and that is cool. Did it seem that Gary Wasserman was just about everywhere race morning? He assisted several athletes after serving as a pace leader, I saw him half a dozen times and understand he ran close to 40 miles all together. Nice guy Old P Wolf!
Lincoln legend Ivan Ivanov skipped the marathon to train up for the World Masters Championships Steeplechase in July. Best wishes to Ivan!
Wednesday Night Track Workout at Millard West, 6:00 pm start: Everyone bring your stories from Lincoln. we’re all ears!
