The Lincoln Marathon, with all its success, has come and gone once again. To me, signals the end of the Spring racing season. Athletes should all be nearly rested and re-evaluating their racing plans and schedules for the rest of the year.
It also opens the season on athletes considering what is a Best Fit for them team wise. How strong is the leadership? What can the mates offer? What are the Intangibles? But Most Importantly, what can the athlete bring to a team? That more than any other consideration is paramount. Talent? Yeah, big deal. I’ve seen tons of it pissed away, or worse yet, misguided or otherwise wasted due to poor management. Determination? That’s the stuff! Give me the hard working, compliant, blue collared, ambitious, windmill tilting, dreamers and I’ll build a club that will kick your butt. I’ve done it before don’t forget.
So today is a CALL FOR ATHLETES! Nebraska Run Guru Elite is growing both our Mens & Womens team, both Open & Masters. We are laid back but close knit and fierce. You don’t have to be flashy, we could care less about your “pedigree”, preferring to develop talent rather than assimilate it. If you have never been on a team, or if the one you run for now has disappointed you or otherwise left you feeling like there should be more to the club experience, and/or more attention to your personal development, shoot me an email at [email protected]
I’ve demonstrated over the last 10+ years that there is no better post collegiate advocate/coach/administrator for you in Nebraska. What can you do for us?
