Winner, winner, who’s the winner? Our USATF Nebraska Association wrapped up our 2015 Grand Prix at Woody Greeno. In September. It’s amazing how patient everyone except me is awaiting the results. Five Thousand ($5000) in prize money will be doled out as soon as those in charge get off their duffs.

Team Nebraska’s Cassie Mitchell and Haleigh Riggle are also making the sweet trip to San Francisco.

Of the fourteen traveling athletes, six competed in our Nebraska Assoc. XC Champs. A couple others have raced recently and well. Anyone want to guess my thoughts on this? Here they are: You have to race and demonstrate fitness in order to earn a spot on a traveling team. Now don’t be cross!
Boondoggle!
After our performance at LHF, there’s a lot of buzz at the national level about whether or not Nebraska Run Guru Elite, INC will be on the line. I heard from the Big Cheese in SoCal, Irene Herman, asking where our entries are. Also heard from my old buddy and President of Team USA Minnesota, Pat Goodwin. She congratulating me/us on landing Grant Wintheiser, he had been identified by them as a worthy mate, just missing his services due to his enrollment in medical school in Omaha.
We’ll get Jay and Al and Grant and Drew and Kevin fired up for 2016. They will all have to Race and Earn their spot though.
