Not the bagel. Albert suffered from insomnia, so do Jody Green and I. Great minds all three, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Seems my column on Tuesday has created a buzz on LetsRun.com. http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=4350588&page=0 A lot of Intelligent discussion, and as you might expect, the smattering of Trolls and Fools chiming in as well. You don’t have to be an Einstein to have an opinion. Better that I suppose than censoring the differing or unpopular, that would be cowardly and weak.
This weekend’s Battle in Seattle carries a little more weight than usual. Like this:
National Team selection- Competitors in the Open Men’s and Women’s races are reminded that these events will serve as partial selection races for the Team USA squad that will compete at the Jan. 7 Bupa Great Edinburgh Cross Country Team Challenge. Three men and three women will select themselves for this team based upon finish order.

THANK YOU TO NANCY SUTTON MOSS, GARY BREDEHOFT, AND THE LINCOLN MARATHON FOR YOUR BELIEF IN OUR TALENTED NEBRASKA ATHLETES! WE COULD NOT DO THIS WITHOUT YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT!
Congratulations to the following: Jeff Jacob was the first to identify Gerry Lindgren in yesterday’s photo. Shain Kephart was just a couple of seconds behind him followed by Brian Wandzilak and Danielle Galvin. Mike Reilly was the most eloquent stating “none other than your brother from another mother-Gerry Lindgren”.
Not too early to pencil in our Ni-Bthaska-Ke 12K & 4 Mile Trail Runs. A couple of new things for 2012- We are moving the date to March 31 (typically has been the first Saturday in April). We are also adding a Kids Run to expand our Children’s Running Program.
