Indiahoma is a very special place for a lot of reasons. Chief among them are its greatest asset, our people. I lived in Houston for over 20 years. Also resided in the Chicago area for a few years. And Omaha. I’ve never met such down to earth, genuine people as we have right here.
There is no such thing as utopia though. Last night’s crime spree uprooting the peace.
Desperate times lead desperate people to do desperate things. The mums that adorned the front of city hall the latest victims. Why anyone would see fit to commit “petal” larceny? To take something that was so generously donated to brighten up our community? To steal and feel that it is ok to have what you want by hook or crook? Because it has always been so?
I’m suggesting the culture of “See no Evil, Hear no Evil, Speak no Evil” is on its last legs in Indiahoma. My role as publisher of the Indy-Pendent News has prompted frequent contacts from concerned citizens. My recommendation to all is take fears and concerns to our Town Board or the Comanche County Sheriff’s Department. Make them aware of your position.
If you’re on the good side, “Right Makes Might.”
I’ll keep my ears to the ground, hope to hear a positive resolution to Indiahoma’s “Great Mum Caper.”
