Introducing Midwest Elite! USATF member club #40-10225, Iowa Association. The goal of Midwest Elite is to provide developmental opportunities for athletes across all disciplines in athletics. #Giddyup! #TossEmUp! #JumpEmUp!
Our Board is comprised of individuals that have demonstrated a commitment to American athletes. Please allow me to introduce:
Shawn Love is the founder of the Kansas City Smoke, one of our original USATF Elite Development Clubs. Host of the 2008 USATF Club National Championships. Shawn resides in Lampe, Missouri and still hopes to break :60 in the quarter!
Doug Storey has decades of service ranging from Elite Athlete Coordinator for the Houston Marathon, a top coach in the Houston Metro, and now a National Level Official living in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Doug will be joining us in an Advisory capacity.
Lisa Ann Charles should be considered one of the top developmental throws coaches in the Midwest. Her work with throwers are setting new standards of excellence from her hometown of Omaha to BYU. Lisa will handle all throwers.
Lyle Dorjahn Lyle has been in competitive athletics for over 50 years. A furious quarter miler in the 70s Lyle returned to the sport as a coaching savant, leading his small team from Central Illinois to the top of their class. Lyle resides in Chicken Bristle (no kidding) Illinois and will be our eastern eyes and ears.
