For the last month and for the next couple the first thing I grab in the morning is my wood. Stoking the stove, glowing hot for two fortnights now, final of three heats (cutting, stacking, burning).
What’s your morning wood? What do you feed your orange embers?
Nothing better than your run. Boosted metabolism firing engines. Life lessons one foot out the door. Clarity through dedication, purity through sacrifice, energy for a day.
I can’t run so much, shouldn’t at all in fact. Membership at the Twin Rivers YMCA now my path but I’ll be darned if I don’t get some of the same “visualization” kicks out of a good session of aqua running. Lane 4 reverie, eyes squinted, pumping furiously, Boylston Street not far ahead, running young and hard and free. Love you Bob Ross.
My palette, 2004 Omaha Corporate Cup. Levi Ashley (12011), Ben Sandy (14480), Derek Fey (7916), Mike Morgan (9998), and Gary Dougherty (4168). Jason Brindle in shades just off the orange singlet shoulder. Levi and Dustin Llewellyn (off Derek’s left shoulder) would join us before year’s end. Thanks for the memories fellas!
