It will be in 2021 if we are lucky. In today’s Real World it is hard to predict when we will be able to measure ourselves against our fellows. Impossible to predict when “mass gatherings” will once again be the norm.
My heart goes out to all serious athletes and dedicated race administrators.
My best advice is to return to the origin of our sport. One man (or woman) testing personal limits. The Real Beauty of Running. The Real Honesty of Running. The Real Purity of Running. You can still give running your very best effort. While that effort can’t match what could be delivered with Real Competition it will have to do for now.
For now, its You vs. You. And maybe you’ll come out on the other side of this with a deeper appreciation of the Real Essence of Running. Your Next Real Race.
