I am fascinated by our Native American’s heritage. Some great books available at your local library. A couple of my favorite authors, Mari Sandoz and John Niehart.
The original name of the Omaha “Quapaw” means “those going against the wind or current“. Seems to be a direct connection to me, no wonder I consider this the best trail run in Nebraska.

You may also register or pick up your packets at the new Peak Performance located at 168th & W. Center, from 4:00-7:00 pm on both Thursday and Friday. And of course race day registration opens at 8:00 am Saturday morning and runs until 9:15.
