Its amazing how immersed I am, even yet today, given all and everything, in our sport of running. Its big enough for all of us, after all. That is one lesson I’ve come to embrace. Its not just my world, not just “My Way Or The Highway.”
And what a big world! The USA Outdoor National Champs came and went and I uttered not a whisper. All the way down to our local Friends of the Dog Pound Fun Run. I hardly noticed ye.
I’ve learned to focus on my own little slice. Pudding Pie! A delightful pie!
Triple threat Tuesday. Yesterday morning I met with my client Jen. We did a tour of the east loop at my Former dojo. She started my day the pudding way. Told me that she ran a 5K on Saturday. At the same race last year she ran 29:12. Saturday she ran 26:14. Skipped the 28s and 27s altogether, almost breezed by the 26s. Yesterday afternoon I had a session with Sam and Jackson. With all their successes, there is still plenty yet to do prior to the National Champs at the end of this month. A lot of the work between the ears, yesterdays run an opportunity to train their brains as well as their bodies. And then our burgeoning Bar None Produce taking the rest my day. Our Most Knowing clients scheduling times to come out and enjoy the best deals, The Gardener’s Choice. Only the freshest and best, Bar None!
Work. It is Play here in our Own Little World.
