The IAAF World Championships are set to begin in Moscow, running from August 10th through the 18th. My old buddy Dot McMahan will be running the Marathon. She reports turning in a life time best for her last 20 mile training run so look for her to be competitive with the world’s best.
In 2006 I took the USA Ekiden team to Yokohama, Japan. Amy Yoder Begley was part of the squad. A delightful and talented lady to be sure. Congratulations on her appointment as Women’s Head Cross Country Coach at UCONN.
