Houston! Was planning to run results and commentary but a glitch in the results system has things on hold. What I can report is that 20 USA Men ran under the Olympic Trials Qualifying standard of 1:04, and even more remarkable 14 runners under 1:02:00. More as results come available. A poignant note- Peter Falcon missed the OTQ by less than a minute at California International 6 weeks ago. He was on pace for much of the race yesterday and then the marathon did what the marathon does. Peter- Please see this as a blessing. CIM the first week of December, Houston in mid January and the Trials the end of February. Three marathons in 18 weeks could have impacted the rest of your running career.
USA Cross Country National Champs! Anthony Rotich and Natosha Rogers took home the laurels and will lead our USA team at the World Championships in Denmark this March.
