We had a good turn out at our Team Nebraska/USATF fundraiser for Bridget & Kaci. Proud to report that we raised over $500 that will be split evenly between the two. Thanks to everyone that came out and made a contribution, ran, walked, threw a frisbee, kicked a football or whatever you felt was good on a perfect day. Bridget’s qualifying time of 2:44:55!
And Kaci’s. Both marks were achieved in December at the California International Marathon.
Bridget had a large turnout from Lincoln, here she is with a small sampling of family members that came to support.
Peyton had stars in her eyes. This young lady came out the for each of the past 3 weekend’s fundraisers, a star in the making??
She was thrilled to get Kaci & Bridget’s autograph, many others did too as well as numerous photo ops with fans and supporters.
Team Nebraska and our USATF Nebraska Association are proud of these fine young athletes and you should be too! Good place to give a thanks to the Lincoln Marathon for their generous financial support of both of these ladies while representing Team Nebraska over the last few years.
It was an ideal day and a perfect send off. We’ll be doing another of these for Good Mates Megan Zavorka, Matt Pohren, David Adams, Chris Tegtmeier, and Aubrey Baxter this summer as the USA Track & Field Olympic Trials approach in Eugene!
