Shit rolls downhill and so does water. Lake Aero out here is owned by a Kiewit biggie. As soon as possible it had two 12″ lines and a generator the size of a bus pumping water right back into the Platte, 12 million gallons every 24 hours. Curtis Acres, quick to splash no trespassing and private property declarations with just a little less clout could only muster two 8″ lines, draining their lake immediately south of Dodge St., into the ditches encompassing our Twin Rivers Homestead area. Million dollar homes not concerned about their neighbors. That is why the water table is just now beginning to recede. My most shallow and insincere sympathies to those whose beaches and floating docks were compromised while we were trying to keep our heads and lives above water.
