We’ve been settling into the new digs. Linda hard at it with the paint roller and caulk gun. Big tips to the Berkshire Hathway discount at Nebraska Furniture Mart, new furnishings soon to come. A barn full of cowboy meticulously condensed into a garage. Working on landscape design, outdoors, our best feels.
We have availed ourselves to the terrain in Fairmount Park. Some ridiculous inclines/elevations our reward. Trying to get out twice a day, feeling real strength return.
Civilization. We embraced the remoteness of the last couple years but are loving a return to city life. We’ve enjoyed a veritable smorgasbord of cuisines, all not far from the front door. Have you ever been grateful for a Hy-Vee grocery store just around the block? Giant oak and elm and ginko and maple and hackberry providing shade in turn to every corner of the property. Covered front porches de rigueur on our street. Friendly folk swinging, rocking with welcomes and waves.
The Henry Doorly Zoo. Lauritzen Gardens. The Old Market. The Joslyn Art Museum. The Orpheum Theater.
Anna, Tom, Miles, Alli, Katie, Dan, Mike, Pat, Steve, and Noah. Our blood. So many friends.
Looking forward to the Nebraska State Track Meet next week. 2024 has seen more than 25 state records set across the various disciplines.
Welcome Back!
