My first degree is from Northern Illinois University (1992), Bachelor’s Degree in Community Health Promotion, a minor in Health Education. Parlayed it into this most rewarding career, and not done yet. Epidemiology, statistics, and public health administration all key classes. That background prompting today’s column.
From Igor Hadzisulejmano and the Douglas County Health Department:
Hi Will,
Per our conversation today, here is the link to the CDC’s interim guidance for large gatherings. You will see that the guidance separates out recommendations for before community transmission or “outbreak occurs” and during “outbreak occurs”, like we discussed as of right now there is not community transmission in Douglas County, that could change. I have also attached a document from the World Health Organization, it is a planning guide for large events/mass gatherings. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Hope everything goes well with your run.
